Tips on How to Manage Curly Hair

Dotty is 7 ,curly, goes to daycare and school. Her curl is very much like little Lulu. A cartoon character when I was small. It is beautiful , everyone adores her hair but...It can be difficult to manage her curl at times!!

However, after good few years managing her hair, I have mastered it!=)

Hence sharing the tips here with you =)

Tips on how to manage curly hair

  •  Invest in a brush not comb.

  • Do not cut the hair to bob style as the hair will spring up. It'll be even harder to manage and create uncomfortable feeling.

  • Brush the hair when it is wet as once it is dry it will make more difficult to brush.

  • Use shampoo with conditioner. It will help to ease the tangle.

  • Moisturize the hair with good olive oil.

  • Blow dry the hair when it is wet once in a while. This is to ensure the hair is really dry and to prevent any lice activities.

  • Oil the hair well if you want to make a bun.

  • Use big hair clips to  keep the hair tidy. Small clips won't be able to capture all the hair.

Let the hair go once in a while. Dotty always have her hair let go during weekends as she has to tie her hair on the school days.

Curls need to be managed well as it is an asset for every women and girls. Curly hair will show confident and style at the same time. As a mom, I have to nurture it in her that her hair is special and make sure to prep her hair right according to occasions. Having a messy curly hair is a no no. So embrace your curly hair and enjoy the difference.

Dotty has beautiful hair and I always tell her that. She needs to know that she is special and curl is special.Mimi Loves Dotty!!
